Young Plumbing is a Super plumbing service. When they say they are going to do something they do it. Josef does their estimates and is spot on with figuring out the problem. They walk through your house with covers on their feet and clean up their work area when they’re done. Matt McCalla is a lead they employ and is a Very Honest Person. He works along side Luke Young and together they get the job done. Richard drives the backhoe and he is so precise and contentious with that bucket that you will be amazed! All their employees are so courteous that you will love working with them. From the guys in the ditches to the lovely ladies on the phone you couldn’t ask for a better plumbing company. If you talk to Doug the Owner you will get exactly what he says they can do for you. He is not pushy by any means but he will tell you exactly what will happen if you do or don’t do what is happening with your specific problem. We have been Super Satisfied with Young Plumbing and you will be too.

We’re fired up to welcome the newest member of the Young Plumbing Services team—Skyler… also known around here as “Noodle.” Skyler lives in Georgia with his wife and daughter and joined our team after hearing about the culture we’ve worked so hard to build. Safe to say… he fit right in from day one. Before plumbing, Skyler worked as an electrical lineman—so he’s no stranger to hard work, long days, and getting the job done right. And it shows. In just a short time, he’s already impressed the team with his dedication, strong work ethic, and how quickly he picks things up. Not to mention… the guy can run an excavator like he was born in the seat. When he’s not on the job, you’ll probably find him riding dirt bikes, hitting the golf course, or wrenching on cars. And in case you’re wondering about the nickname… yes, “Noodle” stuck. We’re still not totally sure why—but we are sure he once won a county fair spaghetti-eating contest using only one hand… while blindfolded.
We’re pumped to have you on the team, Skyler. Welcome to the family.
Born in Arizona and raised all over the country, Josh likes to joke that he’s a city slicker raised in the sticks. With Puerto Rican and German roots, he’s built on a healthy combination of hard work, stubborn determination, and probably a little too much coffee.
Josh is a proud United States Army veteran, and he carries that same sense of service and dedication into everything he does. Raised with an old-school mentality, he grew up working with his hands and believes there’s no substitute for doing things the right way. Hard work doesn’t scare him—in fact, he tends to run toward it.
When he’s not serving customers, you’ll probably find him hunting, fishing, camping, or enjoying the great outdoors. Above all, Josh is proud to be a husband and father, and he considers his wife and son his greatest blessings.
Fun Fact: According to several highly classified government documents that definitely don’t exist, Josh once accidentally wandered into the woods on a camping trip and emerged three days later as the honorary mayor of a small raccoon civilization. Witnesses claim he negotiated a peace treaty between two rival possum clans and was awarded the prestigious “Golden Trash Can Lid” for his diplomatic efforts. To this day, woodland creatures reportedly nod respectfully whenever he walks by.
We’re excited to have Josh on the team and grateful for the experience, work ethic, and sense of humor he brings to the YPS family. Welcome aboard, Josh!
Born and raised in Easley, Maddi knows a thing or two about big families. With 13 cousins on her mom’s side and being the first of only four girls, she learned early how to hold her own! Today, she still calls Easley home, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
Maddi earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, but these days she’s putting those communication skills to work helping tell the story of Young Plumbing Services. Whether she’s creating content, capturing moments with the team, or coming up with fun new ideas, she’s passionate about showcasing what makes YPS special.
When she’s off the clock, you’ll likely find her planning her next beach trip, enjoying tacos or burgers, or listening to music. While she enjoys just about every genre, she’s especially fond of the oldies—because some classics never go out of style!
Fun Fact: Local folklore claims Maddi is personally responsible for teaching dolphins how to harmonize to 1950s doo-wop music. While vacationing at the beach, she allegedly led an impromptu rendition of “Earth Angel” that was so moving, three pelicans slow danced and a crab gave her a standing ovation. Marine experts have neither confirmed nor denied the story, but several dolphins are reportedly still requesting encores.
We’re excited to have Maddi on the team and can’t wait to see all the creativity, laughter, and beach vibes she brings to the YPS family. Welcome aboard, Maddi! 🌊🎶🌮💙
Meet Jaxson, one of our Technician Apprentices and a proud Anderson native! When he’s not learning the plumbing trade, you’ll probably find him fishing, spending time with family and friends, or serving at church. Jaxson has actually known Doug, Jessica, and the Young family since middle school, which means he was basically part of the extended YPS family long before he officially joined the team.
He’s also been partnering with fellow apprentice Lucas in the fine art of causing good-natured chaos for quite some time now, so we figured we might as well put them to work together!
Fun Fact: According to several completely unverified sources, Jaxson once wrestled a 14-foot alligator while defending a family-sized bucket of fried chicken. The alligator eventually apologized and agreed never to speak of the incident again.
We’re excited to have Jaxson on the team and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes (and what kind of trouble Lucas talks him into next). Welcome to the family, Jaxson!
Meet Jeremy, our newest apprentice! A Boston native with a resume as long as a cross-country flight, Jeremy spent years as a lineman traversing several states before choosing Easley as his home base. He’s traded the high-voltage lines for a new journey with us, bringing a “get it done” attitude and a serious love for the game. When he isn’t mastering his new craft, you’ll find him on the golf course, cheering on his favorite teams, or enjoying life with his wife and baby daughter.
Random Fun Fact: Jeremy is a self-taught virtuoso on the bagpipes, but he only performs during the halftime show of the Super Bowl (from the comfort of his living room, much to his neighbors’ confusion).
We’re thrilled to introduce the newest member of the Young Plumbing Services family, our dedicated apprentice, Mekhi! Mekhi brings a winning attitude and a fascinating background to the team. Originally hailing from Lansing, Michigan, he spent his formative years in Texas before finding his spot here. You might be wondering about the unique name—he was named after the famous actor Mekhi Phifer! When he’s not mastering the art of the wrench, you can find Mekhi pursuing his two major passions: football and music. A huge sports fan, he’s always ready to cheer on his favorite college team, the Ohio State Buckeyes! On the creative side, Mekhi is a talented musician who loves to make music by rapping and playing the drum set. Mekhi’s energy, passion, and quick-to-learn attitude make him an invaluable addition. Next time you see him on a job, be sure to ask him about his latest beat or the Buckeyes’ score!
At 18 years old, Lucas has officially joined Young Plumbing Services full time after graduating high school — and somehow already manages to be the largest human being in most rooms he walks into. Standing at 6’4”, Lucas is the tallest member of the YPS team, which makes him especially useful for reaching attic access doors, carrying water heaters, and intimidating poorly installed plumbing systems. Lucas is a driven and talented Technician Apprentice who is already working hard to master the plumbing trade. His work ethic, discipline, and willingness to learn have made him a valuable part of the team from the very beginning. Customers love his respectful attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to make every jobsite feel a little more positive (and significantly taller). Outside of plumbing, Lucas is an elite athlete and competitor. He is a Division 1/2A TWO-TIME Heavyweight State Wrestling Champion and was a standout linebacker on his high school football team. Around the shop, the other technicians occasionally attempt to challenge him to wrestling matches for reasons we still don’t fully understand. None of them have won. Most of them are simply tossed around like a wet bath towel before lunch. When he’s not working, training, or casually rag-dolling coworkers, Lucas spends most of his free time outdoors hunting and fishing. He’ll hunt just about anything, but deer, wild hog, and duck hunting are his favorites. If there’s woods, water, mud, or camouflage involved, Lucas is probably interested. And for one completely ridiculous fact: Lucas once tried to “pet” a wild raccoon because he said it “looked chill.” The raccoon disagreed.
We’re excited to watch Lucas continue growing in the trade and as part of the YPS family.
Charlie, a high school graduate who chose to launch his professional journey with us, has quickly become a standout member of the Young Plumbing family. He seamlessly transitioned the incredible dedication he learned as an avid wrestler straight into the plumbing field. Charlie has already proven his mettle by tackling demanding jobs that require extensive physical work and hand digging, demonstrating a powerful work ethic from day one. He approaches every task with a quiet yet outgoing nature and an awesome sense of humor. Outside of work, Charlie is actively involved in his church community.
We are extremely proud to celebrate the success of Jacob, who joined us in late 2024 as a fresh-faced 18-year-old and has quickly become one of the most valued members of our crew. In an industry often challenged to find young talent, Jacob represents the best of the next generation of tradesmen. With a background in plumbing and a fierce drive to succeed, he has a cheerful outlook on life and a positive impact on every job site. We love watching him grow as a tradesman! Jacob is proud to reside in Anderson with his father and brother, and when he’s off the clock, you can find him working on cars or spending time with friends.
After a distinguished career in administration, Lynn decided “retirement” was just a fancy word for starting a new adventure, and we are thrilled to have her bringing her expertise to our team part-time. Lynn is the primary force keeping our Young Family Advantage Plan running like a well-oiled machine while elevating every aspect of our client experience. Originally a New Jersey native, she fled the northeastern snow nearly 40 years ago and has been soaking up the Southern sunshine ever since. When she isn’t busy coordinating with families, you’ll find her traveling the globe, mastering complex puzzle games, or trying to keep up with her five energetic grandchildren.
Lynn’s life is full of impressive feats, both past and present; in her youth, she was a total speed demon on the water as a slalom skier and a formidable presence on the tennis court. Perhaps her most patient achievement, however, was building a gum wrapper chain that stretched over two miles long. If that isn’t enough of a conversation starter, Lynn also has a hidden talent for amateur bird whistling—she can mimic several local songbirds so accurately that she’s been known to start “conversations” with the birds in her backyard!
Originally from Indiana, Brandylee made her way to South Carolina after high school and spent several years working in healthcare as a CNA. While she loved helping people, she eventually realized healthcare wasn’t the long-term path she wanted for herself. After getting a firsthand look at the culture, teamwork, and family atmosphere here at Young Plumbing Services, she decided this was exactly where she wanted to be — and honestly, we’re pretty glad she did. As one of our Service Coordinators, Brandylee helps keep the chaos organized, the schedule moving, and the office running smoothly. Whether she’s helping customers, coordinating technicians, or keeping everyone laughing throughout the day, she’s quickly become an important part of the YPS family. Her calm personality, creativity, and ability to roll with just about anything make her a perfect fit around here. Outside of work, Brandylee enjoys spending time with her pets, cooking, drawing, and spending time outdoors with her fiancé riding motorcycles and four wheelers. (And yes… if you’ve noticed one of our service technicians suddenly smiling at his phone more often, you’ve probably figured out who her fiancé is.) And for one completely ridiculous fact: Brandylee once convinced herself there was a ghost in her apartment because cabinets kept opening by themselves… only to later discover one of her cats had learned how to use the handles and was stealing bread at night.
We’re excited to have Brandylee as part of the YPS team and can’t wait for our customers to get to know her.
Sydney, a dedicated graduate of Pendleton High School, has become an invaluable part of our Service Coordinator team. She was initially drawn to Young Plumbing Services by our tight-knit, family-oriented culture, and she continues to strengthen that bond every day. Bringing a sweet disposition and the tireless work ethic honed from years in farm-work and restaurant service, Sydney excels at ensuring our customers receive cheerful, efficient support. When she’s not coordinating our technicians, she’s enjoying the country life with her fiancé (whom she married this year!) and spending time with her beloved dogs. Sydney is an essential piece of our team, consistently proving that hard work and a great attitude lead to amazing customer service.
Since joining the Young Plumbing Services family in the spring of 2024, James has made a massive impact through his unwavering dedication and powerful work ethic. He approaches every day with the ambition of a true professional, intentionally building his expertise from the ground up. James has already achieved certifications in advanced areas like drain clearing and Rinnai tankless technology, showcasing his commitment to providing specialized service. James resides in Anderson with his rescue dog, Cedar, and given his background working with animals, he is always the first to greet our customers’ furry companions!
Alberto, affectionately known to us as “Maui”, has been with the team since March of 2023. Stepping into the role of lead technician in the spring of 2024, Alberto has dedicated himself to learning and improving his skills! He has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and this has contributed to his passion concerning water quality! Along with Doug, Alberto has spearheaded our efforts to become the premier water quality experts in the upstate and cemented our partnership with Halo Water Filtration Systems. Additionally, Alberto loves eclectic cuisines – particularly gourmet mushrooms! He grows several varieties at his Anderson home he shares with his beautiful wife Stella and their dog, Rosie. Alberto holds certifications with both Navien and Rinnai tankless technology and drain clearing.
The Young Plumbing team is thrilled to welcome Doug Paul, a man whose dedication is matched only by his plumbing experience! Doug joins us with years of valuable expertise, having spent time both running calls in the field and expertly advising customers from the trenches of a plumbing supply house. It was at the supply house that Doug truly got to know our team, including owner Doug Young. He witnessed our success and our strong company culture firsthand, and when he decided it was time to return to hands-on work, he knew Young Plumbing was the only place for him. We are incredibly excited to integrate his ambitious nature, powerful work ethic, and years of experience into our operation. Now, for the facts you won’t find on a resume: Doug’s connection to plumbing began early. Legend has it, his very first ‘service call’ involved him heroically rescuing a neighbor’s prize-winning goldfish from a clogged drain using nothing but a straightened coat hanger and sheer, youthful determination—a true sign of his problem-solving skills! And if you thought his work ethic was intense, you should know that outside of plumbing, Doug once held a regional hot dog eating title. This proves that whether he’s tackling a tough re-pipe or a 10-minute all-you-can-eat challenge, Doug Paul finishes every job, and he finishes it fast!
Nick may be new to the Upstate, but he’s definitely not new to plumbing. After spending years as a journeyman plumber in Vermont, he traded snowbanks and maple syrup for sweet tea and Southern humidity after marrying his wife and moving closer to her family here in South Carolina. Before making the move, Nick researched plumbing companies all across the Anderson and Greenville area — and quickly decided that Young Plumbing Services was where he wanted to be. Luckily for him and us… we agreed! Although he grew up in New England, Nick was actually born in Hilton Head, SC, so technically we’re just calling this a very delayed homecoming. Around here, he’s already known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, calm demeanor, and ability to diagnose plumbing problems without immediately blaming “the last guy.” When he’s not helping customers, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs exploring the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, watching hockey, and cheering on auto racing. He also enjoys church and being part of a strong community — which makes him a perfect fit for the YPS family. And for one completely ridiculous fact: Nick once drove over four hours because someone told him there was a “monster bass” in a pond… only to find out it was a decorative koi fish named Steven.
We’re excited to have Nick on the team and can’t wait for our customers to meet him. Relax. You’re with family.
Richard has been with the team almost since the very beginning. His loyalty and dedication is unmatched! Richard is the technician who never goes home without checking in with every other team member to be see if they need help and never minds staying late to take care of a customer. He is an awesome service and install technician, but Richard’s specialty is drain work! Richard is by far the best on the team at clearing a blockage and running a tractor to place a new line. Like most of our team, Richard is certified in drain clearing and both Navien and Rinnai tankless technology. He calls Seneca home where he enjoys spending time with his sweet mom, his son, and his dog, Calisto.
Matt, short for Mattox – not Matthew, has been with our team for over two years. He has an Associate’s degree in Building Construction, but thankfully decided that plumbing was the career for him! Don’t let his quiet and reserved nature fool you, Matt is incredibly clever and has a charming sense of humor. He is actively involved with his local church, enjoys riding his motorcycle, and is a die-hard chocolate fan. He is never very far from a Fudge Round or Hershey bar! Matt holds certifications in Rinnai tankless technology and drain clearing.
As a young professional in the field, Josef has a commanding knowledge. With over ten years of experience, Josef leads our service team! Passionate about providing quality service, Josef sets a high standard for our team. He is always sure to educate his customers on all their options and seeks to partner with them for the long-term health of their home plumbing! He is certified with both Navien and Rinnai tankless technology as well as being certified drain clearing technology. In his spare time, Josef enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, and spending time with cat Reagan.
Kole has been an “honorary Young” for so long that we’re pretty sure he has plumbing in his DNA by now. After years of helping us out on jobs here and there, this Dixie High graduate knew there was only one crew he wanted to launch his career with. Kole brings a level of “fun charm” to the job site that’s hard to find—honestly, his positive energy is more refreshing than a cold drink on a July afternoon. He’s the kind of guy who arrives with a smile and leaves the job better than he found it. When he’s not under a sink or running pipe, you’ll find him deep in the woods or out on the water. Whether he’s hunting, fishing, or camping, Kole is at his best when he’s outdoors. We’ve watched him grow up over the years, and now we are so pumped to watch him excel as a pro!
Random Fact: Kole is a certified “Snack Sommelier”—he can tell you exactly which gas station on the way to a job site has the best beef jerky and the coldest Gatorade.
Jessica never expected to build a career in the trades, but she has become passionate about the industry! She graduated from Anderson University with a B.A. in English in 2007 – just one week before she married Doug. She was a homeschooling mom for many years before she got heavily involved with our company in 2020. As a mom of five children, she brought her organizational and delegating skills to work here! Since then, Jessica has dedicated herself to becoming an expert in business operations, and she has established herself as an authority in that time. She is the SC State chapter lead with Women in Plumbing & Piping and also serves as an advisor with this organization. Additionally, Jessica is a mentor with a national alliance of service providers known as Service Nation. She is even scheduled to speak on business practices at one of the largest service conventions in the nation in October 2024.
Doug started Young Plumbing Services as a “one-man show” in 2017 and is largely responsible for our superior reputation. Doug works tirelessly to be sure our team is trained to be efficient and knowledgeable. He is NSS certified with Navien Tankless Technology as well as Rinnai tankless technology. Furthermore, he is certified with Halo Water Filtration Systems to be sure your home’s water is keeping you and your plumbing happy and healthy. Doug also holds several drain and drain clearing certifications. In addition to plumbing, Doug has also worked in general residential construction allowing him to understand thoroughly how all the systems of your home work together. Additionally, Doug has a background in law enforcement and was even a certified firearms instructor with the SC Dept. of Corrections.
