We had a real mess at my house. I was almost too embarrassed to call anyone!
However, my husband is handicapped and it was the commode in our master bath that was clogged.
I had tried everything, with trips to Lowe’s and Home Depot, asking for the strongest commode declogger they had!
Finally, after a call to Young’s, Alberto came out and took care of the clogged commode in no time!
He was very professional, polite and a God-send!!

He took the time to fully explain my service, prepared quotes and fully explained other services I may be interested in, all while training a new employee. Lucas is a local high-school student working to learn our trade! At only 16, Lucas has a surprising skill in the field – and has even repaired some minor issues at his own school! Lucas is an impressive defensive lineman for his varsity football team. He also placed 4th in the SC State Wrestling competition in 2024 as only as second-year wrestler. He also plays guitar. Even though he is young, Lucas is a skilled apprentice in any truck!
We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Charlie, the newest addition to the Young Plumbing family! A recent high school graduate, we are truly honored that Charlie chose us as the place to kickstart his career. During his school years, Charlie was an avid wrestler, and he has seamlessly carried that same dedication and incredible work ethic right into the plumbing field. He’s already proven his mettle by jumping in on some demanding jobs requiring extensive hand digging! Charlie possesses a quiet yet outgoing nature, coupled with an awesome sense of humor. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his girlfriend, Cecilia, and is actively involved in church.
In our industry, we often hear sayings like “the trades are dying” as many companies struggle to find young adults to join their team. We are very proud to say we have several young members of our crew who do amazing jobs! So, when Jacob came to us as a fresh-faced 18 year old, we were excited to meet him. With a background in plumbing, a drive to succeed, and a cheerful outlook on life, we knew he would make an awesome addition. He joined the team early in 2025, and we are so glad to watch him grow as a tradesman. Jacob resides in Anderson with his father and brother. In his free time, he enjoys working on cars and hanging with friends.
Welcome our newest team member, Sydney, to the Young Plumbing Services family! Sydney is a recent graduate of Pendleton High School and will be a fantastic addition to our Service Coordinator team. A country girl at heart, Sydney is soon to be married to her fiancé this year. She loves the country life, has a big heart for dogs, and has spent a great deal of time working on farms. This makes her transition to a Service Coordinator a fun new adventure, as she brings a strong work ethic and a sweet, cheerful attitude from her background in farm work and restaurant service. Sydney was drawn to our company because of our amazing team and our family-oriented culture. She’s looking forward to getting to know everyone and jumping right in to help our customers. We are thrilled to have her on board and can’t wait to see her thrive!
Bridget joined the team in August of 2024 as a part time Administrative Support Clerk. With very little experience, Bridget amazed us all at her ability to complete tasks quickly, yet meticulously while needing very little oversight. Her organizational skills and initiative made her an integral member of our team, and we knew that she had an awesome potential to grow within the organization – and she has done just that! Bridget was promoted to full-time Service Coordinator in February of 2025, making her the friendly voice many of our customers will hear when they call us. We are so excited to watch her excel! Bridget lives locally in Abbeville county with her son, Rhett. Together they enjoy a multitude of outdoor activities like biking and camping. She will always take advantage of a beautiful day. Bridget’s bright smile and cheerful demeanor make her not only a joy for our customers but also a morale boost for our team.
Our newest member of the team, James joined us in the spring of 2024. Jumping in with impressive ambition and dedication right from the start, James has been invaluable! Though he had almost no knowledge in the plumbing field, he has been truly intentional with his learning and continues to amaze us each day. He already holds certifications in drain clearing and Rinnai tankless technology. James came to us after years of working with animals, and is an avid dog-lover. He is always excited to meet our customer’s pets! James resides in Anderson with his rescue dog, Cedar.
Alberto, affectionately known to us as “Maui”, has been with the team since March of 2023. Stepping into the role of lead technician in the spring of 2024, Alberto has dedicated himself to learning and improving his skills! He has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and this has contributed to his passion concerning water quality! Along with Doug, Alberto has spearheaded our efforts to become the premier water quality experts in the upstate and cemented our partnership with Halo Water Filtration Systems. Additionally, Alberto loves eclectic cuisines – particularly gourmet mushrooms! He grows several varieties at his Anderson home he shares with his beautiful wife Stella and their dog, Rosie. We are absolutely thrilled to introduce Adam, our dynamic new Lead Service Technician! Adam joins us with years of invaluable experience, bringing a proactive, can-do attitude that has already made him an incredible asset to our team. He prides himself on delivering nothing short of excellent service to every customer, guiding them through any plumbing challenge with ease and expertise. When he’s not busy solving plumbing puzzles, Adam, a proud local of Anderson, loves to kick back by mud riding with ATVs, enjoying a day out on the boat, and creating cherished memories with his son and daughter.
Richard has been with the team almost since the very beginning. His loyalty and dedication is unmatched! Richard is the technician who never goes home without checking in with every other team member to be see if they need help and never minds staying late to take care of a customer. He is an awesome service and install technician, but Richard’s specialty is drain work! Richard is by far the best on the team at clearing a blockage and running a tractor to place a new line. Like most of our team, Richard is certified in drain clearing and both Navien and Rinnai tankless technology. He calls Seneca home where he enjoys spending time with his sweet mom, his son, and his dog, Calisto.
Matt, short for Mattox – not Matthew, has been with our team for over two years. He has an Associate’s degree in Building Construction, but thankfully decided that plumbing was the career for him! Don’t let his quiet and reserved nature fool you, Matt is incredibly clever and has a charming sense of humor. He is actively involved with his local church, enjoys riding his motorcycle, and is a die-hard chocolate fan. He is never very far from a Fudge Round or Hershey bar! Matt holds certifications in Rinnai tankless technology and drain clearing.
As a young professional in the field, Josef has a commanding knowledge. With over ten years of experience, Josef leads our service team! Passionate about providing quality service, Josef sets a high standard for our team. He is always sure to educate his customers on all their options and seeks to partner with them for the long-term health of their home plumbing! He is certified with both Navien and Rinnai tankless technology as well as being certified drain clearing technology. In his spare time, Josef enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, and spending time with cat Reagan.
Jessica never expected to build a career in the trades, but she has become passionate about the industry! She graduated from Anderson University with a B.A. in English in 2007 – just one week before she married Doug. She was a homeschooling mom for many years before she got heavily involved with our company in 2020. As a mom of five children, she brought her organizational and delegating skills to work here! Since then, Jessica has dedicated herself to becoming an expert in business operations, and she has established herself as an authority in that time. She is the SC State chapter lead with Women in Plumbing & Piping and also serves as an advisor with this organization. Additionally, Jessica is a mentor with a national alliance of service providers known as Service Nation. She is even scheduled to speak on business practices at one of the largest service conventions in the nation in October 2024.
Doug started Young Plumbing Services as a “one-man show” in 2017 and is largely responsible for our superior reputation. Doug works tirelessly to be sure our team is trained to be efficient and knowledgeable. He is NSS certified with Navien Tankless Technology as well as Rinnai tankless technology. Furthermore, he is certified with Halo Water Filtration Systems to be sure your home’s water is keeping you and your plumbing happy and healthy. In addition to plumbing, Doug has also worked in general residential construction allowing him to understand thoroughly how all the systems of your home work together.
